Business Analyst

Overview

DTMB Agency Services needs a Business Analyst 5 to provide excellent customer service supporting both project and work request needs for the Environment, Great Lakes and Energy (EGLE) Agency.

• Serve as the liaison between DTMB and project stakeholders, facilitating elicitation and process modeling to help develop strategy and requirements for ongoing enhancements and related work projects.
• Be a critical member of the DTMB Agency Services Business Analyst team, participating in various related work requests for EGLE and contributing to the operational activities of the BA team.
• Provide expert facilitation and elicitation, including gap fit analysis and program performance analytics.
• Support EGLE in complying with DTMB policies and practices, acting as a champion to ease Agency compliance.
• Quickly gain a working understanding of applicable constraints and enablers and help EGLE navigate them for project success.
• Attend standing meetings for initiatives, speak confidently about current activities, listen to understand needs, and provide input that helps meet meeting objectives.
• Demonstrate self-direction, organization, relationship-building, speed in onboarding to new assignments, and flexibility in changing needs or direction.

• Minimum of 16 years of general Business Analysis experience.
• Experience with SOM DTMB processes.
• Strong facilitation skills for requirements elicitation.
• Experience with gap fit analysis and program performance analytics.
• Customer service focus and the ability to champion compliance with DTMB policies and practices.
• Ability to quickly gain a working understanding of constraints and enablers and to help navigate them for project success.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment and manage multiple requests for EGLE.
• Work must be performed in the State of Michigan; candidates residing outside Michigan must relocate to Michigan to perform duties.
• DTMB offers a hybrid work option requiring two days on-site (Wednesday and Thursday) and three days remote per week.
