Jr. Purchasing Analyst

Job Description

Job Summary The Jr. Purchasing Analyst is a member of Boyd’s Purchasing Team. The primary responsibility of this position is to evaluate procurement data, manage tariff resolutions, and provide logistical insight to optimize purchasing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Job Responsibilities Responsible for the analysis and maintenance of procurement and logistics data, including purchase orders, quotations, and invoices source catalogs; material rejection reports, tooling records, and inventory management.

Knowledge of supply chain management principles, procurement regulations and industry standards.

Serve as the liaison between organizations and vendors and develop sourcing strategies, cost analysis/standards, and quality metrics to ensure that the organization maintains a sustainable competitive advantage through its supply chain.

Work together with sales representatives, purchasing agents, and engineering department on new and existing sales, or when a problem arises.

Monitor shipments to guarantee on-time delivery and settle problems associated with undelivered  knowledgeable in tariff activities and HST codes.

Applicants must be individuals that can work well with others and contribute in a team.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent

At least 3+ years prior purchasing/supply chain experience.

Proficient with MS Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and use of a PC.Preferred Skills and Experience Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality at all times.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Good analytical and decision-making skills

Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize work based on business needs.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, to prioritize and work in a multi-tasked environment

Ability to work under time constraints with changing priorities under minimal supervision.

Must be able to follow directions and work in a team environment.

Knowledge of common techniques for material handling

Previous manufacturing experience

Physical Requirements Normal amount of sitting and standing;
Ability to move around an office environment and on the production floor;
Ability to work at a computer workstation;
Ability to bend, twist, lift, reach. Ability to lift max. 40lbs periodically.
