Job Description:
As a Business Analyst, you will provide exceptional customer service while supporting project initiatives and work requests across a regulated public‑sector environment. You will act as a key liaison between stakeholders and delivery teams, driving requirements gathering, process modeling, and strategic analysis to support ongoing system enhancements and initiatives. This role requires strong facilitation skills, expertise in eliciting and refining requirements, and the ability to analyze business processes and performance to recommend effective solutions.
You will also contribute to operational activities within the analyst team and play an essential role in ensuring alignment with organizational policies and compliance standards.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment of project goals
- Facilitate requirements elicitation sessions, workshops, and stakeholder discussions
- Conduct gap analysis, process modeling, and business process reengineering
- Analyze business needs and translate them into functional and technical requirements
- Support development of strategies, roadmaps, and solution recommendations
- Prepare documentation including specifications, user stories, and workflow diagrams
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and manage user stories across project life cycles
- Perform data analysis, reporting, and contribute to business intelligence initiatives
- Support preparation of RFPs, cost‑benefit analysis, and ROI assessments
- Assist in ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deploy reporting tools and solutions
- Provide knowledge transfer and documentation to ensure continuity of solutions
- Minimum 16 years of overall Business Analyst experience
- At least 7 years of experience in business process analysis, requirements elicitation, and documentation with process modeling
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in Agile environments managing user stories
- At least 2 years of experience working with senior leadership to facilitate strategy discussions and decision‑making
- Minimum 2 years of experience supporting contractual agreements such as statements of work
- At least 2 years of experience implementing IT solutions for public‑facing environments
- Minimum 1 year of experience working within regulated programs (state or federal compliance)
- Strong expertise in facilitation techniques and stakeholder engagement
- Experience with gap analysis, performance metrics, and process optimization
- Familiarity with data warehousing, reporting tools, and business intelligence solutions
- Knowledge of database concepts, client‑server architecture, and system integration
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and build strong relationships
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred)
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $45.00 to $80.00/hr rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
