About this position
Statewide Integrated Governmental Management Applications (SIGMA) is part of the State Budget Office and supports the State of Michigan’s government operations, including budget, financial management, procurement, timekeeping, labor cost allocation, inventory management, and grant/project accounting.
As a SIGMA support staff member, you will support the daily operations of the system, work toward continuous improvement of SIGMA’s functionality, and provide training and help desk resources to users.
Responsibilities- Coordinate and support SIGMA Tier 1 Security help desk resources and serve as primary resource for Tier 2 Security help desk.
- Administer access for SIGMA non‑production environments.
- Assure seamless SIGMA user access in the production environment through HR document submission.
- Create and maintain internal user guidance documentation.
- Conduct system monitoring.
- Work with the SIGMA Monitoring team to improve and implement systems.
- Some experience in trend research, analysis, and reporting.
- Desirable experience managing a vendor relationship, contract compliance or administration, and service level agreements.
- Professional experience is considered if the prior role required a bachelor’s degree.
- Bachelor’s degree in any major. Candidates who will earn a bachelor’s degree by the end of the current semester may be considered with unofficial transcripts; final offer depends on official transcripts.
- Foreign degree holders must have credentials evaluated for U.S. equivalency unless recognized by CHEA.
- Departmental Analyst 9:
No specific type or amount required. - Departmental Analyst 10:
One year of professional experience. - Departmental Analyst P11:
Two years of professional experience, including one year at the intermediate (10) level in state service.
Office location is Lansing, MI. SIGMA Operations and Support offers a hybrid work option, requiring one day on‑site at the official workstation with up to four remote days per week. Relocation to Michigan is required for non‑residents; relocation expenses are not reimbursed.
