Project Manager 1 (PM1) – Commercial Construction

Grand Rapids, MI

We are looking for a Project Manager 1 (PM1) to join our collaborative team. This is an entry level, foundational role where you will work and learn, gaining hands‑on experience in Project Management on small market projects with increasing responsibilities as determined by successful completion of projects.

• Preconstruction:
  Perform project buyout, project startup including baseline schedule, and subcontract negotiations.
• Project Support:
  Managing submittal logs, RFI tracking, and document control via Procore in conjunction with the Project Assistant and Field Superintendent.
• Site Coordination:
  Visit active job sites and Field Superintendents, ensuring project issues, quality and schedule are being managed and addressed.
• Safety & Standards:
  Maintain a working knowledge of MIOSHA safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or relevant field experience.
• Experience:
  
  1–3 years of experience as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager (APM), or direct Field Experience.
• Skills:
  
  Strong written communication, knowledge of Microsoft software including Excel and Project, and a "team-first" mentality are essential.
