Role Description
T his is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Heavy Demolition Estimator based in Greater Lansing. The Senior Heavy Demolition Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate project estimates, analyzing blueprints and project specifications, conducting site visits, and assessing project requirements. The role includes coordinating with project teams, subcontractors, and vendors; creating competitive, detailed cost estimates; and contributing to strategic decision-making to optimize project outcomes.
The Estimator will work closely with clients and team members to ensure the successful planning, bidding, and completion of demolition projects.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial forecasting
- Knowledge of hazardous materials abatement and heavy demolition techniques
- Proficiency in analyzing construction documents, blueprints, and project specifications
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and deadline management
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and project teams
- Experience using construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations related to demolition and abatement is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as need ed
