Superintendent - Commercial Construction

Job Description

We are seeking a Construction Superintendent to join our team! You will oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation.
Must have experience working with a General Contractor/Construction Management company.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation
• Coordinate subcontractors/suppliers/labor/material activities on project construction sites
• Oversee/ensure construction project safety
• Verify time/material work
• Obtain/review checklist to ensure subcontractor readiness for mobilization.
• Allocate resources for assigned projects
• Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors
• Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients
• Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs
• Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications

Qualifications:

• BA in engineering, construction science or similar relevant field
• OSHA 10/30 Certification, building maintenance/carpentry experience
• CPR/AD Certified, helpful but not required
• Previous Commercial Construction experience and/or previous supervisor experience.
• 5 years previous working experience as construction superintendent
• Previous experience in construction management or other related fields
• Familiarity with construction management software (Pro Core, Timberline, Blue Beam, Microsoft Project)
• Strong leadership qualities
• Strong negotiation skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
