Our client is an established Michigan commercial construction firm with a strong reputation for delivering work across healthcare, education, commercial, industrial, and community-focused markets, known for combining technical execution with a relationship-driven approach.

The Lansing office is busy - heavily weighted toward healthcare work - and this hire is directly tied to relieving workload pressure and creating breathing room for the team to grow. That means you're not walking into a slow onboarding environment; you'll be needed, relied on, and given ownership early.

What makes this role interesting is the mix of current and future work. While healthcare projects are the primary driver today, leadership is actively trying to grow into higher ed, commercial, and public-sector work. So you'll get exposure to multiple project types over time and won't be boxed into one niche long-term.

The workflow is also different from large, single-project environments - this office runs multiple smaller projects simultaneously, which sharpens coordination, stakeholder management, and prioritization skills quickly. The Lansing team needs a Project Manager who can step into a high-coordination environment and help support both current workload and long-term office growth. The role is initially centered on healthcare construction, with future exposure to higher education, commercial, community projects, and ground-up work. This is a full-lifecycle PM position that includes preconstruction and estimating support, bid scopes and pricing presentations, subcontractor buyout and negotiation, budget and cost management, scheduling, RFIs, change orders, monthly pay apps, healthcare safety/infection-control compliance, and closeout.

The office is heavily concentrated in healthcare work and this hire is intended to improve workload distribution and create capacity to pursue additional project types.

Candidates should bring proven Project Manager experience with a General Contractor, full-process ownership, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to run multiple smaller projects lthcare construction is a strong plus, but not required. Ground-up, higher ed, commercial, or historic renovation experience are all attractive as well. Technical expectations include Procore, MS Project or CPM scheduling, budgeting/cost control, subcontractor management, construction document review, and strong working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office tools.

This role is local to Lansing with no remote/commuter setup, generally minimal travel, and roughly 75-90% office-based work.
