Position: On-Air Stock Market Broadcaster “Squawk”

Position Type: Full time

Location: Remote, Detroit

An opportunity to make an impact and play a key role in the growth of a top financial publisher. We are hiring a market analyst with fast twitch impulses to deliver breaking news audio color on the most impactful developments across asset classes, with a particular focus on U.S. equities. A news ‘junkie’ or trader will thrive in our environment of journalists and investment professionals.

As a “Squawker”, you will have a direct hand in creating stories heard and seen by millions of readers and impacting the industry as a whole. The role involves news gathering, analysis, and a ‘leave your ego at the door’ attitude.

The experience you need:

Minimum 3 years of experience using market scanner tools and data (Bloomberg, Think or Swim, Tradestation et al).

Radio or multimedia experience (preferred)

Minimum three years experience at an investment institution and/or digital publication, preferably in the financial media sector.

Expert knowledge of the U.S. stock market, the world of finance, and various professional trading styles

Knowledge of news writing and reporting, AP Style, journalism principles and ethics.

Ability to produce short- and long-form stories.
