Job Summary

The part-time dentist sets their own schedule while taking part in our mission-driven environment serving the poor and underserved receive much needed oral care, while also welcoming patients with ALL insurance types. • Provide comprehensive dental care in accordance with professional standards and best practices
• Diagnose and treat oral health conditions using standard dental instruments and equipment
• Educate patients on oral health, preventive care, and treatment options
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care
• Serve as a preceptor to dental students while also maintaining your own client base
• Uphold all clinical, ethical, and safety standards

• Education:
  
  Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD)
• Experience:
  • Active and unrestricted State of Michigan dental license
  • DEA license
  • Proven experience working in a dental practice using standard dental instruments and equipment

    • This position is on-site and may not be eligible for complete remote work
    • Attendance at occasional meetings or events outside regular business hours is required
    • The role involves working with sensitive or potentially traumatic information and direct interaction with individuals or families in crisis
    • Physical requirements include frequent use of hands for handling objects, tools, or controls; talking, bending, squatting, twisting, climbing, kneeling, reaching, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 30 pounds
    • Vision requirements include close‑up work, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus
    • The work environment may involve varying degrees of physical discomfort and occasional loud noise
    • Occasional driving, potentially with Clients, during the workday may be needed for operational purposes
