Departmental Analyst - Senior Community Transition Support Analyst - BCCHPS

This position functions as a Senior Community Transition Support Team Analyst within the Bureau of Children’s Health, Policy, and Supports, Transitional Care Program section. The analyst serves as an expert and provides comprehensive review and specialized analysis involving complex discharge planning for children ages 15 and under. The analyst works with multiple child‑serving systems to ensure that youth who reside in state hospitals or residential treatment programs are transitioned to community settings in a timely manner when ready for discharge, with the needed community‑based services and supports in place.

Possession of a bachelor’s degree in any major is required.

Preferred:
Possession of a bachelor’s degree in a human behavioral health sciences field.

Departmental Analyst 12 – Three years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced (P11) level in state service.

Preferred:

• Minimum of three years of experience working with children, youth, and families.
• Minimum of two years of professional experience working with or within child welfare and/or other child‑serving systems.

Departmental Analyst 9–12 – Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full‑time active‑duty experience at or above the E‑6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement.

The physical location of this position is 333 S. Grand Ave, Lansing, MI 48933/Hybrid. Based on operational needs and within established limits, remote work and alternate or hybrid work schedule requests for this position may be considered. Selected candidates who have been approved to work remotely or a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.
