Overview

We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Dental Hygienist to join a growing and well-established dental practice. This role is responsible for providing high-quality preventive and therapeutic dental care while ensuring a positive patient experience. The Dental Hygienist plays a critical role in patient education, clinical efficiency, and overall oral health outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Perform dental cleanings, scaling, root planing, and periodontal maintenance
  • Conduct oral health assessments including charting, probing, and documentation
  • Take and interpret digital radiographs (X-rays)
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, disease prevention, and post-treatment care
  • Assist dentists in diagnosing and treatment planning
  • Administer local anesthesia and/or nitrous oxide where permitted
  • Maintain accurate and compliant patient records
  • Follow strict infection control and sterilization protocols
  • Support overall patient flow and clinical efficiency
  • Build strong patient relationships to encourage retention and trust
Qualifications
  • Active Dental Hygienist license in Michigan
  • Local anesthesia and nitrous certification
  • CPR/BLS certification
  • Passion for Health/Wellness
  • Strong knowledge of periodontal therapy and preventive care
  • Proficiency with dental software systems (Eaglesoft)
  • Excellent communication and patient education skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong clinical documentation habits
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
Preferred Experience
  • 1+ years of clinical dental hygiene experience
  • Experience in a high-volume or fast-paced dental practice
  • Familiarity with digital imaging and intraoral scanning technology
