Overview

Get to Know Granger. Build. Coordinate. Innovate. Get to Know Granger. At Granger Construction, we live by the Golden Rule. We build more than structures—we build relationships, careers, and communities. With a focus on innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement, we empower our people to make a lasting impact.

The Role

As a VDC Engineer, you help bring projects to life before construction begins. You’ll turn complex models into clear insights—identifying risks early, improving coordination, and helping teams build with confidence.

You’ll spend most of your time supporting active project coordination while also helping evolve how we use VDC technology across Granger.

What You’ll Do
  • Create, manage, and coordinate BIM models across all project phases
  • Perform clash detection and help resolve conflicts across building systems
  • Develop model-based drawings, schedules, and quantity takeoffs
  • Translate design concepts into constructible solutions
  • Collaborate with project teams, designers, and trade partners
  • Support coordination meetings, constructability reviews, and virtual mock-ups
  • Troubleshoot modeling challenges and recommend practical solutions
  • Help drive adoption of VDC tools like BIM, AR/VR, and point cloud technologies
What Success Looks Like
  • Conflicts resolved before construction, reducing rework
  • Accurate, high-quality models aligned with project requirements
  • Reliable delivery of VDC outputs aligned with schedules
  • Strong collaboration and communication across teams
  • Consistent follow-through and growing trust with stakeholders
What You Bring to the Team
  • Strong understanding of construction and building systems
  • Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM 360, or similar tools
  • Ability to analyze problems and develop practical solutions
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
What It’s Like to Be Here
  • A collaborative, team-first environment where your voice truly matters
  • Meaningful work on projects that challenge you and help you grow
  • Opportunities to learn, innovate, and expand your impact
  • Support from leaders and teammates who are invested in your success
  • A culture grounded in trust, respect, and doing the right thing

If you’re excited about using technology to improve how projects come to life—and want to be part of a team that values your ideas—we’d love to hear from you.
