Overview
Colliers Engineering & Design is currently seeking a licensed Architectural Project Manager to join our Science, Technology, & Industry team in Lansing, Grand Rapids, or Southfield, MI offices. Our team of talented and creative architects work closely as trusted partners with our clients throughout the design process to realize a jointly conceived vision. We offer a full range of services from preliminary planning and feasibility studies through final design and construction inspection for both full build‑out, renovations and adaptive reuse projects.
Responsibilities- Lead, oversee, supervise, and coordinate architectural project activities.
- Act as Project Architect and AOR on most projects; a separate project architect may be assigned depending on size and complexity.
- Ensure the success of the projects under your management.
- Serve as the primary design liaison to the client and oversee construction documents.
- Assign tasks to and oversee the work of design/production staff.
- Collaborate with other CED offices.
- Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree in architecture or equivalent work experience to maintain licensed architect status.
- 8+ years of experience as a licensed architect in Michigan; NCARB certification required.
- 5+ years of experience with science, technology, and industry architectural projects (industrial, labs, manufacturing, distribution centers, etc.).
- Proficient with AutoCAD and Revit; ability to produce preliminary and schematic designs in AutoCAD is minimum;
Revit highly desired. - Strong business acumen, technical knowledge, coordination skills, and ability to build rapport with project team and client.
- Client‑facing skills with strong verbal and written communication.
- Willingness to mentor team members on technical and professional skills.
- Preferred: experience in business development and project management for design/construction projects.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites and meetings.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English for job communications.
