We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Locum Physician specializing in Interventional Radiology to join our esteemed hospital-based team in Lansing, Michigan. This is an exceptional opportunity for experienced radiologists to provide high-quality, hospital-based IR services, supporting our mission to deliver outstanding patient care. Required Skills:
Board Certification in Radiology with subspecialty training in Interventional Radiology (IR) Proven proficiency in performing procedures such as angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, needle biopsy, thrombolysis, and uterine fibroid embolization (UFE) Excellent clinical judgment, technical skills, and attention to detail Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Strong communication skills and professionalism Nice to Have
Skills:
Experience performing orthopedic, gynecology, and urology procedures Prior experience in a Level I trauma center Familiarity with EMR systems Ability to handle a diverse adult patient demographic, including geriatric cases Preferred
Education and Experience:
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Active medical license to practice in Michigan or eligibility for licensure Minimum of 2 years of IR experience within a hospital setting Prior locum or temporary staffing experience is advantageous Other Requirements:
Availability to cover a 3+ week schedule per month, with flexibility for additional travel Willingness to participate in Q3 call coverage, approximately every third weekday and weekend Willing to travel and accommodate the facility s travel and credentialing policies Fast credentialing process, with a target of 90 days (preferably sooner) This is a fantastic chance to join a supportive team with comprehensive resources, including IR support staff and lodging provisions if needed.
