Join Our Team as a Locum Interventional Radiologist in Lansing, MI
Are you an experienced, Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist seeking a dynamic locum opportunity? Our esteemed healthcare facility is looking for a dedicated physician to provide high-quality hospital-based IR services in Lansing, Michigan. This position offers the flexibility of a robust day-shift schedule with Q3 call coverage, supporting a collegial team committed to excellent patient care. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced interventional procedures including angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, needle biopsy, thrombolysis, and uterine fibroid embolization (UFE).
- Support orthopedic, gynecology, and urology cases as needed.
- Collaborate with a trained team including a Manager and two Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
- Manage an average of 8 cases per day in a Level I trauma hospital setting.
- Contribute to a team of three physicians providing exceptional care to primarily adult and geriatric patient populations.
- Board Certification in Interventional Radiology with MD credentials.
- Proven competencies in angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, biopsies, thrombolysis, and UFE.
- Strong clinical judgment and procedural expertise.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to efficiently perform multiple procedures in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Skills:
- Experience with orthopedics, gynecology, or urology procedures.
- Familiarity with hospital EMR systems.
- Previous work in Level I trauma centers.
Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Minimum of 2 years post-training experience in interventional radiology.
- Active medical licensure in Michigan or eligible for licensing.
- Willingness to travel and provide coverage for a minimum of 3+ weeks per month if needed.
- Credentialing timeline approximately 90 days, with options for fast tracking.
- Provider to be compensated hourly, with mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rates.
- On-campus lodging may be provided when necessary.
