Overview:

McLaren Greater Lansing is seeking a motivated and professional OB/GYN physician for a locum role, providing in-house coverage during 24-hour call shifts. This is an excellent opportunity for clinicians looking to contribute to patient care in a well-supported hospital setting while gaining valuable experience. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, team-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality medical services in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills:

Valid medical license to practice in Michigan

Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology

Proven experience in hospital OB/GYN practice

Ability to perform in a fast-paced, 24-hour call setting

Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Proficiency with electronic medical records, preferably Cerner system

Nice to Have

Skills:

Experience with high-risk obstetrics and surgical procedures

Previous experience working in a hospital setting with support staff

BLS and ACLS certifications

Ability to work independently and manage patient flow efficiently

Preferred

Education and Experience:

Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution

Graduation from an accredited OB/GYN residency program

Minimum of 2+ years of obstetric and gynecologic practice in a hospital environment

Other Requirements:

Availability for scheduled shifts beginning March 26, 2026, through June 2026, with varied patient volumes daily

Flexibility to work 24-hour in-house call shifts

Ability to clock in and out using Doc Time, as per hospital protocols

Coverage of malpractice insurance included in hourly pay rate

Travel and licensing reimbursements as applicable (not exceeding institutional policies)

No third-party lodging bookings;
McLaren does not reimburse taxes on lodging expenses

Compensation for this role is $18.72 per hour, with weekly pay via direct deposit.
