Join Our Team as a Locum Physician - Interventional Radiology in Lansing, MI

Are you an experienced, board-certified Interventional Radiologist seeking an impactful locum opportunity? We are looking for dedicated physicians to provide top-tier hospital-based IR services in Lansing, MI. This position offers an engaging environment within a Level I trauma center, supporting a skilled team of physicians and APPs. What You’ll Do:

Deliver comprehensive interventional radiology procedures including angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, needle biopsies, thrombolysis, and uterine fibroid embolization.

Collaborate with a team of three Interventional Radiologists and two APPs supporting a busy Level I trauma hospital.

Manage an average of 8 cases per day, primarily serving adult and geriatric patients.

Adhere to Q3 call coverage schedule, sharing responsibilities evenly among team members.

Contribute to emergency and outpatient IR procedures in a hospital setting.

Required Skills:

Board Certification in Interventional Radiology or Diagnostic Radiology with IR Fellowship.

Valid medical license to practice in Michigan.

Proven expertise in performing complex IR procedures such as angioplasty, stenting, embolization, and biopsies.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Ability to handle a fast-paced environment with efficiency and professionalism.

Nice to Have

Skills:

Experience with orthopedic, gynecological, and urological IR procedures.

Prior involvement in trauma cases or emergency IR services.

Familiarity with EMR systems (specific system not specified).

Ability to do additional travel beyond scheduled coverage if needed.

Preferred

Education and Experience:

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.

Minimum 2 years’ post-residency/interventional training in a hospital setting.

Prior locum or hospital-based IR experience is preferred.

Other Requirements:

Willingness to start on 01/01/2026 with a fast-tracked credentialing process (estimated 90 days).

Ability to commit to a schedule including Q3 call days and potential additional travel if required.

Mileage reimbursement at IRS standard rate; lodging provided if on campus.

Flexibility for 3+ weeks of coverage per month.

Certification in ACLS and BLS preferred.
