Spine-Focused Neurosurgery Position Available In Magnificent Michigan Metropolis

Overview

Due to an upcoming retirement, a multi-specialty private practice located in a Michigan city is looking for a spine-focused neurosurgeon to join them. The practice is eager to mentor a new grad or happy to consider those with experience.

The new neurosurgeon will primarily admit to a 103-bed hospital that is a joint venture between a very large health system in the state and a university health system. The hospital is nationally recognized for quality of care and patient experience, including a double, five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and a Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade of “A”.

The group also admits to a Level I, 537-bed medical center. Named a Top 100 Hospital, it has comprehensive craniotomy and stroke programs and currently participates in clinical trials related to spine devices.

• Admit to a 103-bed hospital joint venture and participate in spinal neurosurgery within the group.
• Provide spine-focused surgical care in coordination with hospital teams and clinical trials as applicable.
• Call schedule: 1:6.
• Support staff: 5 PAs who take first call; 3 RNs assist with patient calls and wound care.
• Anticipated case volume: ~150 cases in year one; ~300 cases once established.
• Block OR time provided; access to latest equipment and state-of-the-art technology including an O-Arm, new Leica microscopes, stealth navigation and Cyber Knife.
• Practice Administrator is a member of NERVES.
• Foster a culture of camaraderie within the practice.
