Position: MindCare Solutions Michigan Part-Time Telehealth Psychiatrist – Juvenile $180.50 / hour Telehealth Psychiatry &

Provide telehealth psychiatric care for youth in a juvenile detention setting, with a focus on assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, and crisis intervention. The role also involves coordinating care with facility staff and mental health professionals, communicating with youth and families about progress and ongoing needs, and helping ensure safe, age-appropriate behavioral health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and individualized treatment plans for detained youth.
  • Provide medication management and monitor treatment effectiveness over time.
  • Respond to acute psychiatric needs and provide crisis intervention when needed.
  • Collaborate with mental health professionals, medical staff, and facility personnel to coordinate care.
  • Communicate with youth and families about treatment, progress, and continuity of care.
  • Maintain compliance with facility policies, applicable laws, regulations, and standards of care.
  • Ensure care is safe, effective, and age-appropriate for the juvenile detention population.
Required
  • Active, unrestricted Michigan medical license.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry.
  • Active Michigan DEA registration.
  • Child and adolescent psychiatric experience.
  • Strong diagnostic assessment and counseling skills.
  • Sound clinical judgment, professionalism, and ability to work independently.
Preferred
  • Child and Adolescent Psychiatry board certification or subspecialty training.
  • Experience working in corrections, detention, or other secure behavioral health settings.
  • Prior telehealth experience.
