This position is responsible for teaching courses in Building Construction and Construction Management Eaton Regional Education Service Agency (ERESA) program, which may include estimating, scheduling, materials and methods, construction technologies, building information modeling, and other construction topics consistent with current developments in the discipline and teaching methods. The incumbent will work with the Construction Management, Building Construction, Architecture, and Civil Technologies programs and participate in program/department meetings and divisional/college-wide committees with a focus on continual improvement of programs and learning outcomes.

Other duties include participation in curriculum and course development, tutoring and advising students, mentoring and reviewing peers, and involvement in shared governance of the College. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to the diversity of a multi‑cultural population and work effectively in a team‑based environment, seeking continuous improvement and adherence to the community college philosophy.

The incumbent in this position will teach high school students in a college setting through the ERESA Building Construction program. Further, the incumbent will also attend Eaton Intermediate School District/ERESA in‑service meetings, conduct student progress meetings with parents, maintain State of Michigan curriculum quality program documents (TRAC/CIP) up‑to‑date, attend award ceremonies, attend Building Construction faculty meetings and meet requirements and responsibilities for faculty per MAHE contract agreement.

This is a weekday position that aligns with the Eaton RESA academic school calendar.

Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.

Final candidates will be subject to a criminal background check as part of the employment process.

• Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years relevant experience in residential/light commercial construction field;
• OR Associate's Degree in a related field and four (4) years relevant experience in residential/light commercial construction field;
• OR High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of eight (8) years relevant experience in residential/light commercial construction field.
• Michigan Builders License.

• Minimum two (2) years teaching experience in construction or closely related field.
• Certified OSHA 10‑hour/30‑hour instructor.
• Professional accreditation/certification as a LEED AP, PE, CPC, CxA, or other related credential.
• Experience in obtaining and managing private and public grants.
