7th & 8th Grade Teacher

St. Gerard Catholic School is accepting applications for a full-time 7th and 8th Grade teacher; specializing
in reading, literature and English. Applicants must have a valid State of Michigan teaching certificate
(secondary certified) as well as be able to provide an extensive background check and VIRTUS training,
completed prior to hiring.

Successful candidates must be enthusiastic, hardworking, and possess strong communication skills with
students, parents, and staff alike. Applicants should be practicing Catholics who are excited to share his
or her faith with children in both knowledge and deed. The ideal applicant will be a teacher who is able to
differentiate curriculum, use technology as a tool to enhance their teaching, as well as a strong sense of
classroom management.
