Special Education Teacher

Soliant is currently seeking dedicated and passionate Special Education Teachers for the  academic year for an exceptional client in the area. If you have a strong commitment to supporting students with special needs and creating inclusive learning environments, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Adapt and modify curriculum to meet the diverse learning needs of students
• Provide direct instruction and support to students in specialized settings (self-contained classrooms) as well as in mainstream classrooms (resource/inclusion settings)
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and other support staff to ensure student success
• Assess and monitor student progress, and adjust instructional strategies accordingly

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience working with students with emotional/behavioral disorders (for self-contained ED teacher position)
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs (for cross categorical and resource/inclusion teacher positions)
• Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
