OverviewThe Ada Bible Young Adult (ABYA) Resident will gain practical experience through hands-on training and experience in many aspects of young adult ministry. This will include program planning and implementation, mentorship and spiritual formation, small group leadership and oversight, and public speaking.
You’ll Get To …- Attend and provide key leadership support at monthly ABYA gatherings
- Lead ABYA small group
- Care for and disciple young adults
- Assist ABYA staff with leadership development/training/care of volunteers
- Assist ABYA staff with program planning and implementation
- Participate in announcements, teaching, and other public speaking opportunities as assigned
- Attend staff meetings
- Participate in the Ada Bible residency program
- Actively pursuing a vibrant relationship with Christ, building it on prayer and a Biblical foundation
- Humble and willing to receive regular constructive feedback
- Committed to investing in young adult volunteers and helping them disciple other young adults
- Able to communicate clearly
- Demonstratesself-awarenessandhighinitiative
- Available Tuesdays (required), Thursdays, and Sundays
- Experience in ministry or small groups a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Discretion in handling confidential information
- Able to navigate sensitive situations and resolve conflict
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Is a committed Christian living a life of obedience.
- Exhibits a personal and growing relationship with God, continually building it through Biblical study and prayer.
- Maintains beliefs consistent with Ada Bible Church’s statement of faith and constitution.
- Displays behavior that exemplifies Ada Bible Church’s core values:
Humble & Secure, Bring Joy, Own the Mission, Work Together and Give it Away - Teachable and open to feedback.
- Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
