Elementary Teacher

Alba Public School is seeking a motivated and student-centered Elementary Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engaging and rigorous instruction to elementary students while fostering a positive learning environment that supports academic growth, curiosity, and critical thinking.

Candidates with elementary certification are encouraged to apply.

• Develop and deliver effective instruction aligned with Michigan academic standards
• Create a safe, engaging, and respectful classroom environment
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technology tools
• Assess student learning and maintain accurate academic records
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
• Participate in school improvement initiatives and professional development opportunities
• Maintain appropriate classroom management and student discipline practices
• Serve as a positive role model for students

• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement(s)
• Strong instructional and classroom management skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
• Commitment to student achievement and continuous improvement
• Coaching experience or willingness to assist with extracurricular activities is preferred, but not required

Salary and benefits will be based on education, experience, and the negotiated master agreement.
