Posting for Jr/Sr High School English/Language Teacher at Kingston Jr/Sr High School
Must meet the following requirements:
- Must meet all Michigan criteria to be Highly Qualified to teach in the State of Michigan.
- Have a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with a BA Endorsement.
- Demonstrated qualifications for teaching 7-12 Language Arts, English, Speech, Journalism, Reading, Creative Writing and Literature preferred.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm and expertise in working with upper Middle and High School Grades.
- Must be able to work with a diverse group of students including those “at‑risk” and those identified for special education services.
- Minimum of one year of teaching experience in the 7-12 grade levels is preferred.
- Willingness to learn from and collaborate with other professional educators to gain insight in a variety of teaching methodologies in working with a diverse student body.
- Commitment to participating in ongoing professional development in English/Language Arts.
- Willing to serve on Building and District committees.
- Proficiency in standardized building wide assessments in preferred.
- Must be able to read, understand and interpret standardized test scores, or be willing to be in-serviced in the same.
