Position Title

Part‑time Construction Management Instructor

Washtenaw Community College (WCC) is seeking part‑time Construction Management instructors. Candidates will teach Construction Management credit courses, with opportunities to teach online and at the main campus, and to fill courses on a per‑course basis.

• Establish and maintain an environment conducive to student learning.
• Prepare and instruct assigned courses using appropriate learning experiences and materials to meet course objectives and program goals.
• Adhere to the course syllabus and comply with assessment of student academic achievement.
• Evaluate student progress through daily evaluation, written examinations, and overall observation.
• Grade assignments and return graded work to students in a timely manner and assign final grades, meeting institutional deadlines.
• Support student success through guidance, advising, and assistance as needed.
• Participate in professional activities such as curriculum planning, examination development, textbook selection, program evaluation, and other planning activities.
• Participate in the Student Opinion Questionnaire (SOQ) process.
• Maintain professional knowledge, including compliance training.
• Use technology, including AI‑enabled tools, to support teaching and learning, consistent with academic standards and institutional policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Earned a baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution in Construction Management or Business with a master’s in another field; specific degree combinations under stated conditions.
• Demonstrated ability to use technology relevant to the discipline and faculty role, including emerging AI‑supported tools, and to evaluate AI‑generated content for accuracy, reliability, and appropriateness.

• Recent, successful post‑secondary teaching experience in Construction Management courses.

Schedules vary according to class schedules. Employment terms are based on college enrollment and class enrollment.

$69.66 per hour.
