Overview
Employees in this position perform a variety of trade, technical, professional, or administrative support activities related to a field of academic specialization for a state department or agency.
ResponsibilitiesPerform support activities as assigned, including trade, technical, professional, or administrative duties that align with the department’s objectives.
Qualifications- Current enrollment in high school, vocational or technical school, or post-secondary educational institution.
- Provide current evidence of enrollment or acceptance to an educational institution and three signed letters of recommendation as attachments.
- No specific experience required.
New hires and employees returning after more than two years will complete Non-Custody New Employee Training (NCNET) of either 40 or 80 hours of initial in‑person training, based on level of offender contact and job classification. Additional online training will also be required.
Ethical Standards and ConductEmployment requires a high degree of loyalty and ethical standards. All employees must meet these standards, report any possible conflict of interest, and comply with the department’s ethical conduct requirements.
Security and Background CheckThe Department may screen out applicants convicted of a felony or misdemeanor. Applicants with such convictions must satisfy any sentence imposed, including parole or probation, before becoming eligible for employment.
