Salary

Anticipated Hiring Range: $69,692 – $81,991 annually. Placement on the salary schedule will be determined by qualifications and experience.

The Monitor/Supervisor for Special Education is responsible for the efficient and effective coordination of activities and planning to meet State and Federal mandates, and to assist the Director of Special Education with data collection, compilation, preparation and submission of required reporting. Provides supervision and guidance to itinerant staff, teachers, and paraprofessionals.
Qualifications- Master’s degree or higher is required, along with full approval in at least one area of Special Education.
- Minimum of three (3) years of successful experience in special education.
- Must also meet the requirements outlined by the Michigan Department of Education, including certification and approval under Rule 340.1772 of the Michigan Special Education Administrative Rules, which governs the qualifications necessary to serve in this role.
- Valid Teaching Certificate or related service provider field with Special Education endorsement and Supervisor’s endorsement.
- Valid Michigan Driver’s license.
