The Success Facilitators is a leader who demonstrates a mastery of the holistic elements of academic success. The Success Facilitator specifically helps students who have unique challenges mitigating their academic and personal success. The Facilitator identifies barriers to academic success and assists students in creating and applying action plans for overcoming challenges. The Facilitator will create systems and relationships with students to maximize their potential by supporting them in gaining effective strategies and behaviors that can support their personal and academic lives.
Education& Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University.
- Michigan Teacher Certification, preferred.
- Positive interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional verbal & written communication skills.
- Solid understanding of best practices for instructional strategies.
- Knowledge of formative and summative assessments.
- Knowledge of MTSS Framework.
- Evidence of a strong sense of honesty and integrity.
- Strong organizational skills including the ability to be detail oriented.
- Follow the guidelines, policies, and procedures of Holly Area Schools.
- Demonstrate professionalism, responsibility, punctuality, and academic integrity.
- Maintain open and clear communication with the high school Administrative Team.
- Maintain privacy and confidentiality of student information.
- Document meeting summary with each student.
- Oversee assigned groups of students.
- Create supplemental materials to aid in student learning and academic skill development.
- Understand and deliver strategies to assist students on a variety of academic topics including but not limited to:
- Time Management
- Organization
- Note-taking
- Reading Strategies
- Exam Preparation & Test Strategies
- Study Skills
- Motivation & Attitude
- Goal Setting
- Communicating with Teachers
- Academic Resources
- Other duties as assigned.
This position reports to the High School Principal & Director of Special Education.
