MTSS:
Tier II & III Coach

The Life Tech Academy MTSS:
Tier II & III Coach advances the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of The Academy through the support of Academy Learners with various learning challenges, differences, and exceptionalities. The MTSS:
Tier II & III Coach will work alongside and under the direction of the MTSS Academic Coordinator and The Academy Director for the improvement of instruction, the achievement of Academy goals, and the betterment of the learning environment and experience of all Academy Learners.

Responsibilities
  • Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
    • Develop and implement customized IEPs for each student in collaboration with parents, administrators, and assigned professionals.
    • Continuously update IEPs to reflect student progress and changing needs.
    • Ensure all accommodations, modifications, and educational services comply with federal and state laws.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of services and student support.
  • Instruction & Adaptation
    • Provide tailored instruction through one-on-one teaching, small groups, or co-teaching in general education coursework.
    • Modify lessons, texts, and learning materials to meet diverse learning styles and ability levels.
    • Incorporate assistive technology, specialized equipment, and adaptive software to support student learning and accessibility.
  • Assessment & Progress Monitoring
    • Administer assessments to monitor academic, social, and behavioral progress.
    • Analyze student data regularly to evaluate the effectiveness of instructional strategies.
    • Adjust teaching methods and interventions as needed to support student success.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and school counselors, and more, as needed.
  • Serve as the primary point of communication for families, providing updates and home support strategies.
  • Train, supervise, and mentor professionals and teacher assistants.
  • Other Duties as Assigned

      • Additional Local, State, and Federal Reporting
  • As Assigned by the Academy Director or Engaged Education
