POSITION: Secondary Agriscience Teacher
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
Start Date: August
Work Year: Contract length determined by Master Agreement
Job Type: part-time to full-time based upon qualifications of the candidate and student interest
District ProfileThe Laingsburg Community School District serves the city of Laingsburg as well as several surrounding townships and a vibrant rural area of mid-Michigan. Located fifteen miles northeast of Lansing, Laingsburg Community Schools has top-notch facilities, a caring staff, dedicated parents, and hard-working and respectful students, making this an excellent place to be an educator.
Preferred Qualifications- Proper teacher certification (HX) or able to qualify for certification and/or an annual career authorization for General Agriculture (01.) in the State of Michigan.
- Knowledge of and commitment to the use of best practices as supported by research.
- Establish effective relationships with students and model respect for and acceptance of all persons in the school setting.
- Collaborate with parents, community, and staff members.
- Maintain professional ethics and responsibilities, including participation in the total school program, curriculum development, and building committees.
As specified in the Master Agreement.
Laingsburg Community Schools does honor up to 15 years of teaching experience on the salary schedule, along with a 20% stipend for LHS FFA Advisor and 5% for LMS FFA Advisor, as specified in the Master Agreement.
