POSITION: PRESCHOOL LEAD TEACHER

Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Lansing has openings for an energetic Lead Preschool Teacher to join our team. Our Lead Teachers nurture relationships, support learning, and create a warm, high-quality learning environment where every child is known. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate’s degree in early childhood education or child development
  • Or a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential
  • First Aid/CPR Certified
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check (including fingerprinting) before employment and periodically afterward.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Evidence of successful teaching experience and proven proficiency in working with preschool-age children.
  • Evidence of planning a curriculum for students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals with a desire to improve educational practices.
  • Ability to facilitate positive parental interaction.
  • Ability to develop and maintain a safe learning environment.
  • Knowledge of MTSS.
  • The preferred applicant is a practicing Catholic and demonstrates enthusiasm for sharing their faith with children through both knowledge and actions.
STAFF RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Will instruct 3-year-olds in a preschool setting.
  • Will be responsible for recruitment and outreach.
  • Will conduct Parent-Teacher conference.
  • May be involved with the IEP process.
  • Will attend annual Early Childhood Conferences.
  • Will be required to implement curriculum with fidelity
  • Participation in professional development sessions as required by the program.
  • Will develop a consistent daily routine and safe environment that supports all learners.
  • Ensure all licensing protocols are being followed.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and professional attitude at all times.
  • Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds (preschool children).

REPORTS TO: Program Director/Designate

EMPLOYMENT

TERMS:

7:30 AM-11:00 A.M. M-F (Part-Time)

Hourly compensation commensurate with experience.
