Adjunct positions are filled by semester on an as‑needed basis. Applicants in the pool are reviewed when the department has an immediate need; review stops for the semester once the vacancy is filled.
Adjunct (part‑time) faculty will teach courses in Accounting. Teaching assignments may be on LCC’s downtown campus, at an extension center within 40 miles of the downtown campus, or via online delivery methods.
Adjunct faculty are expected to work collaboratively with senior department faculty to develop course content consistent with official syllabi, deliver instruction, and be available for student assistance and advising outside of class. Additional responsibilities may include participation in course assessment, department/program meetings, professional development activities, and other duties as assigned.
Regular on‑campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on community needs.
Final candidates will be subject to a criminal background check as part of the employment process.
Required QualificationsDegree Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Accounting or subfield; OR
- Master’s degree or higher in a related field with (a) a professional certification (CPA, CMA, CFE, CIA) OR (b) 3 years of professional accounting experience; OR
- Bachelor’s degree with a professional certification (CPA, CMA, CFE, CIA) accompanied by 5 years of experience in a senior management position.
