Responsibilities
Teach courses in Accounting, consistent with current developments in the discipline and teaching methods. Participate in program/department meetings and divisional/college-wide committees with a focus on continual improvement of programs and learning outcomes. Participate in curriculum and course development, course and program coordination, tutoring and advising students, mentoring and reviewing peers, and College initiatives. Must demonstrate a commitment to the diversity of a multi-cultural population, as well as work effectively in a team-based environment, seeking continuous improvement and adherence to the community college philosophy.
Regular on‑campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.
Final candidates will be subject to a criminal background check as part of the employment process.
Required Qualifications- Master’s Degree in discipline or subfield OR Master’s Degree or higher in related field with one of the following:
- professional certification (CPA, CMA, CFE, CIA)
- 3 years professional experience in accounting
- OR
- Equivalent
Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree with professional certification (CPA, CMA, CFE, CIA) accompanied by 5 years’ experience at a senior management position. - College level teaching experience in accounting.
- Work‑related experience in at least one of the following areas:
Accounting Information Systems, Auditing, Governmental/Nonprofit Accounting, OR Data Analytics. - Community college level teaching experience.

Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc., World Education Services, Inc., International Education Research Foundation, Inc. The credential evaluation must be submitted with the application materials.
In compliance with the community college philosophy, this position has a pay type of FT Faculty – Pay Based on FT Salary Schedule. New hire starting pay is based on the required qualifications of this position. Employee classification is FT Faculty, level FT Faculty-MD, division Arts & Sciences Division - 407000.
