Wage: $43,431 - $80,648; per LEA Master Agreement 2024 - 2027

Starting Date:  School Year

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an approved college or university
• Must have a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate (MB endorsement) and meet state and federal highly qualified teacher requirements
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in the use of technology to promote efficiency in the position
• Ability to maintain records and to prepare reports and correspondence related to the position
• Experience and ability to work positively with others
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications and the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable

• Develops, creates, and administers Physical Education curriculum for grades 5-8
• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and translates lesson plans into learning experiences so as to best utilize the available time for Physical Education instruction
• Evaluates and inspires students to keep pursuing Physical Education after middle school
• Encourages parental involvement in students' education and ensures effective communication with students and parents
• Coordinates with other school professional staff members and participates in staff meetings and building-level committees
• Selects and requisitions appropriate instructional aids and other supplies and equipment and maintains inventory records
