Kids Corner Program Assistant
Climax-Scotts Community Schools is seeking a caring, dependable individual to join our team as a Kids Corner Program Assistant
. This position supports our before-school care program at Climax-Scotts Elementary School.
Monday–Thursday
6:30–8:40 a.m.
Additional hours may be available for candidates interested in assisting with paraprofessional duties, recess supervision, cafeteria supervision, or other building needs.
Position ResponsibilitiesThe Kids Corner Program Assistant will:
- Provide a safe, welcoming, and positive environment for approximately 15–20 students.
- Supervise children ranging in age from 5–10.
- Lead and participate in age-appropriate activities, including crafts, outdoor play, board games, and other recreational activities.
- Support positive student behavior and interactions.
- Work cooperatively with school staff, students, and families.
- Follow all district safety procedures and program expectations.
The successful candidate must:
- Enjoy working with elementary-age children.
- Be dependable, patient, caring, and attentive.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
- Be able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Meet all district employment and background-check requirements.
