In pursuit of this mission, we are hiring an Universal Preschool Guest Associate Teacher. This individual will help ensure the safety and success of students in the Universal Preschool program. Universal Preschool Guest Associate Teacher build relationships across school sites working to support teachers in ensuring that students are engaged and supported during lessons, and interact with parents and families. They are flexible as this position requires them to fill in vacant spots as needed across the Universal Preschool sites.
- Associate's Degree in early childhood education or related field
- Valid Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or an existing 120 Training-Hour approval by MDE
- Alignment with Lansing School District's mission and values
- Previous experience working with Universal Preschool or GSRP students in an urban setting
- Demonstrate passion for working with and empathy of Universal Preschool and GSRP students
- Effectively prioritize tasks as assigned by teachers and school leaders
- Ensure safety of students in classroom and comply with Universal Preschool and GSRP requirements
- Learn and grow by incorporating feedback from school leaders, colleagues, students, and professional development sessions
- Build relationships with students and parents to ensure a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment
- Other duties as assigned to best support the Lansing School District mission
