reports to: elementary building principals

supervises: students

job goal

to support students and teachers with academic and behavioral instruction and Intervention. Works in conjunction with the building intervention team and building principal to plan For benchmarking, intervention, and instructional supports. In addition, provides leadership and Coaching that align with best classroom practices and are driven by data.

assigned responsibilities mtss support
  • supports the mtss academic, behavior, and attendance initiatives
  • analyze and review data using fast bridge, swis, saebrs, and powerschool to identify tier 2 and tier 3 students as it pertains to academics and behavior of at risk students.
  • provide academic intervention support to tier 2 and 3 students.
  • reviews and responds to progress monitoring data regularly of students that are receiving T2 and t3 support.
  • assists in supervision of evening events and activities to build culture with at risk students.
  • coordinate building benchmark testing schedule
  • attend and support facilitation of data days (supporting classroom teachers in recording Interventions in illuminate, analyzing data, and providing feedback on possible interventions)
  • collaborate with the mtss team to create and monitor intervention schedules using the Correct template.
  • support and monitor intervention schedules
  • organize and facilitate monthly intervention meetings to review student progress with grade Level teams
  • inventory consumable intervention supplies and places replacement orders when needed
  • confirm all intervention attendance is being recorded correctly.
  • ensure that intervention staff is appropriately trained in programs and progress monitoring.
  • ensure tiered letters are sent home and progress monitoring graphs are sent home with Report cards.
  • performs all other duties as requested by administration.
instructional coaching support
  • supports an environment that is conducive to active and participatory learning, Resource-based instructional practices, and collaboration with teaching staff
  • sharing expertise by presenting at faculty meetings, parent meetings, and school board Meetings.
  • fosters and models an environment of creativity, innovation, openness to new ideas
  • remains current in professional best practices related to differentiated instruction and Universal design for learning (udl).
  • maintaining active memberships in professional associations (i.e. Macul, udl-irn, etc.)
  • performs all other duties as requested by administration.

evaluation of this job will be performed annually by the building principal.
