As a Teacher of Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at GISD, you will provide specialized instruction and support to students with autism, helping them achieve academic, social, behavioral, and life-skill goals. You’ll collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that meet each student’s unique needs. This position requires creativity, patience, and a commitment to creating structured, supportive environments where every student can thrive.

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) endorsement.
• Successful student teaching experience required; two years of experience preferred.
• Meet State of Michigan Department of Human Services clearance requirements.
• Ability to lift and move students, follow individualized support plans, and work collaboratively in team environments.

$47,496 – $92,683 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications

• Sick and Personal Business paid time, up to 13 days
