Position Description

Reimagine Education, LLC is seeking an innovative Cyber Substitute Teacher & Academic Student Engagement (ASE) Support to join Michigan International Prep School. This position will have the primary responsibility of providing live lesson instruction when teachers are absent, host assigned support hours for students and come alongside ASE coordinator to offer support student engagement. This position will report directly to the Elementary Principal.

Qualifications
  • Michigan Elementary Teaching Certificate
  • Must develop genuine and positive relationships with students/families/staff
  • Ability to maximize technology for effective communication with students, staff, and parents
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once in an effective manner
  • Works well with a team
  • Very strong customer service skills and a strong communicator
  • Maintain a positive “can-do” attitude
  • Face challenges with a focus on creating a better educational model for our students
  • Be a self‑starter and an independent thinker
  • Technological skills, computer knowledge, and ability to rapidly adapt to new technology (Chrome, Google, etc.).
Essential Duties Substitute Teaching
  • Cover live lessons in short term absences for teachers.
  • Act as long term substitute teacher covering live lessons, parent communications, grading, and other teaching responsibilities
  • Teach Live Lessons for Teachers during Acadience Benchmark and Progress Monitoring Assessment Windows
Student Support Sessions & Home Coach Support
  • Meet with Home Coaches to Offer Support
  • Create Loom Videos to Guide Home Coaches on Challenges of Navigating Online School
  • Collaborate with Student Engagement Coordinator, Classroom Teacher, & Mentor to Provide Student Study Halls to Assist with Lesson Support & Submission and Dedicated Work Time
  • Carry out other duties and obligations that are determined to facilitate the school’s mission, goals, standards, and Education Program
  • Employee must honor written Board Policies and Administrative Regulations
