Hire Now Staffing is actively recruiting a seasoned Electrical Supervising Engineer to support one of the nation's most critical energy infrastructure facilities in Newport, Michigan. This is a high-impact leadership role supporting electrical engineering operations at a nuclear power plant, offering long-term career growth, stability, and the chance to make a real difference in the energy sector.

If you're a licensed engineer with experience in power systems, substations, and electrical design for regulated industries, this is your opportunity to step into a supervisory role that offers both technical and strategic influence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead electrical engineering teams supporting nuclear plant operations and upgrades
  • Oversee system evaluations, electrical calculations, and design packages for high-voltage equipment, switch gear, protective relaying, and power distribution
  • Ensure compliance with NRC regulations, industry codes (NEC/NESC), and site-specific procedures
  • Manage design reviews, QA/QC, budgeting, and project schedules
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, safety, and regulatory teams
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of technical processes
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (required)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • 7+ years of electrical engineering experience, with at least 3+ in a supervisory or lead role
  • Nuclear, utility, or large industrial plant experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with IEEE standards, NFPA, NEC, and NESC
  • Excellent leadership, technical documentation, and team coordination skills
