Rhapsody Health Developer - Job Description
This position is for a Software Solution Architect who will support and complete the tasks necessary to design and implement a methodology to enable the MDHHS Health Services ESB to track the transmission of messages and provide additional related services supporting the interfaces for systems connecting to the Data Hub. The administrator will work under the direction of DTMB Customer Services, MDHHS, and DTMB cross‑matrix teams to support and complete the tasks necessary for the MDHHS Enterprise ISA technical team.
Responsibilities- Responsible for developing solutions for new use cases.
- Develop interfaces based on business requirements and specifications.
- Create technical requirements and system design based on the business requirements.
- Develop custom filters using Rhapsody Developer Kit (RDK).
- Create mappers and mapper definitions using the EDI message designer.
- Write JavaScript code with Rhapsody using JavaScript (v1) and JavaScript (v2) filters.
- Develop API calls for SOAP, REST, and web service calls.
- Perform data format translations from HL7v2, HL7 v3, FHIR, CCDA, XML, JSON, and flat file as required.
- Work on CDA mapping and conversions.
- Prepare code review and Suite SDLC documents.
- Develop database connections for MSSQL or Oracle databases.
- Develop TCP, HTTP, LLP, and OAUTH connections as per the standards.
- Responsible for overall system design and code/configuration.

- Experience with web services, SOAP, REST, OAUTH, TCP‑connections, LLP, etc.
- Experience with transport encryption/security (TLS, mutual authorization via certificates).

- Debug code and implement enhancements.
- Maintain Rhapsody.
- Support server patches and restart the Rhapsody application.
- Renew and install HESB server certificates.
- Support application system maintenance.
- Install application system certificates and resolve connection issues.
- Manage error queue and hold queue; reprocess as needed.
- Clear Rhapsody alerts and take necessary action.
- Produce latency and response reports.
- Generate monthly status reports.
- Fix code for production issues.
- Migrate code to production.
- Upgrade Rhapsody versions and perform related testing.
- Communicate with users and external applications regarding issues.
- Manage Rhapsody memory and storage.
