Position SummaryThe Equipment Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, continuous improvement, and technical optimization of battery production equipment across electrode, cell, and module assembly lines. The role includes troubleshooting, preventive maintenance planning, process support, and collaboration with global OEMs and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain automated equipment such as coaters, slitters, presses, dryers, and mixing systems.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions for equipment downtime and yield issues.
- Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure high uptime.
- Collaborate with process and quality engineers to optimize OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
- Support equipment installation, commissioning, FAT/SAT, and I/O verification with vendors.
- Manage spare parts inventory, documentation, and maintenance records.
- Develop and update equipment SOPs, Preventative Maintenance, Breakdown Maintenance checklists, and safety procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and cleanroom standards.
- Provide technical guidance to maintenance technicians and production teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Chemical Engineering.
- 1 to 3+years of experience in high-volume manufacturing (battery, semiconductor, or automotive preferred).
- Hands‑on experience with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with TPM, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Experience with Equipment maintenance.
- Knowledge of IOT, MES, or data monitoring systems.
- Understanding of battery electrode manufacturing processes.
