Title: Optics & Display Intern – OLED (Test)
What You’ll Do In This Role:- Bring OLED display evaluation kits from suppliers online, including electrical setup, interface verification, and functional bring up.
- Develop and load display test patterns to support optical characterization and life test measurements.
- Conduct initial optical testing in coordination with optics engineering, including luminance, color, and uniformity measurements.
- Calibrate light sensor boards and ensure accurate instrumentation for long‑term data collection.
- Set up OLED systems in thermal chambers and assist with configuring the data logging infrastructure for continuous testing.
- Review and interpret scientific literature related to Arrhenius models, inverse power law acceleration, and OLED chemical aging mechanisms.
- Apply modeling concepts to experimental data to support lifetime prediction analyses.
- Collect, organize, and analyze test data; contribute to a technical paper summarizing findings, methodology, and predictive results.
- Hands‑on experience with OLED display technology and optical measurement methods.
- Enhanced understanding of accelerated aging models used in semiconductor and display reliability.
- Exposure to thermal chamber test environments and data logging systems.
- Increased ability to interpret experimental results and convert them into predictive insights.
- Experience writing technical reports suitable for engineering and research audiences.
- Experience working with global teams and customers.

- Education:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred), Physics, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field. - Knowledge:
Basic understanding of electrical measurement, UPC measurement, test equipment, or device characterization. - Tools/Programming
Languages:
Coursework or interest in semiconductor devices, displays, optics, or materials aging; familiarity with scripting or data analysis tools (Python, MATLAB, etc.) is a plus. - Skills:
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret scientific papers and models; comfortable working in lab environments and handling instrumentation. - Communication:
Excellent documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.
This position will be based at Visteon’s Headquarters in Van Buren Township, Michigan, GLCC. It is a 40‑hour per week internship for 12 weeks (8, 12, or 14 weeks).
