Therole
As Sr. Manager, Utilities, you will lead all plant utility systems and infrastructure at a large-scale battery manufacturing site. Your mission: ensure reliability, optimise performance, and support production through best-in-class facility and energy management.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the strategy and execution of utility systems including HVAC, boilers, compressed air, and electrical infrastructure.
- Oversee preventative maintenance programs to maximise uptime and system reliability.
- Manage capital projects related to utilities, expansions, and facility upgrades.
- Coordinate contractors and vendors for construction, maintenance, and system improvements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and performance optimisation.
- Lead and develop a team of maintenance and utilities professionals.
- Support capacity planning and infrastructure scaling in line with production growth.
- Respond to critical system issues and ensure rapid resolution to minimise downtime.
- 10–15+ years of experience in utilities, facilities, or engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- 7+ years of leadership experience managing teams and processes.
- Strong technical background across mechanical and electrical systems (HVAC, boilers, compressed air, etc.).
This is a high-impact leadership role at one of the most critical battery manufacturing sites in the U.S., where utilities and infrastructure sit at the core of production success. As the plant continues to scale, you’ll have the opportunity to shape long-term facility strategy, influence major capital investments, and build systems that directly support output at scale.
