Summary
This role is responsible for the wiring and specific assembly of telescopic seating systems, as well as traveling to various event arena projects for site visits to assist in assessing project scopes and requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Wiring and assembly of telescopic seating systems according to engineering specifications and safety standards.
- Conducting on‑site inspections and assessments of event arena projects to determine seating system requirements and feasibility.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients to develop seating system designs and solutions that meet project objectives.
- Providing technical expertise and support during the installation, testing, and commissioning of telescopic seating systems.
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to seating system wiring, assembly, and functionality.
- Documenting project progress, including wiring diagrams, assembly instructions, and inspection reports.
- Adhering to project timelines and budgets while ensuring quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
- Traveling to project sites as needed, which may involve overnight stays and occasional weekend work.

Education and/or
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mathematics or a related field. Understanding of basic engineering design (i.e. Mechanics of materials, Statics, etc.) is required for this position.
Language
Skills:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures; write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals; effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, owners, customers and the general public.
Mathematical
Skills:
Ability to calculate figures such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume; apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer
Skills:
Working knowledge of computer keyboard for reporting activities, Microsoft Office Suite and internet for communication.
Physical Demands: Agility of upper and lower body extremities, ability to lift up to 30 pounds; specific vision abilities required such as close and color vision; willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Travel Requirements: Based out of Clare, Michigan and may require up to 25% of time spent traveling, including overnight travel.
