Supervisor Maintenance Reliability

The Supervisor – Maintenance Reliability provides support to the maintenance department by leading projects and managing daily, weekly, and shutdown planning/implementation to meet mill objectives.

• Turn conceptual ideas into working solutions.
• Lead predictive maintenance efforts, including training and supervision of personnel.
• Manage paper and pulp mill roll‑rebuild programs, coordinating all activities with the maintenance planner and operating department; maintain records on rolls.
• Establish and maintain an effective preventive maintenance work order system.
• Fill in as maintenance planner and supervisor when required.
• Prioritize work with all operating departments.
• Manage projects consistent with company and location policies.
• Communicate costs associated with each maintenance task to operating and maintenance departments, as applicable.
• Collaborate with mill personnel on new equipment installations and modifications to existing equipment.
• Develop spare parts requirements and plan to maintain mill reliability.
• Provide round‑the‑clock maintenance support, including call‑in coverage.
• Oversee contractor maintenance work.

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field.
• Technical training or experience with industrial maintenance.
• 15 years of maintenance experience or a minimum of 3 years of paper‑industry experience with an engineering background.
• Understanding of process flows and mechanical operation of equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

• BSMET or equivalent.
• Experience with industrial maintenance (bearings, gears, conveyors, drives, etc.).
• Experience with metal and process piping fabrication.
• Experience with alignment and balancing of rotating equipment.
• Understanding of vibration, lubrication, and infrared analysis.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

• Ability to work well under pressure and within time constraints, multitask, and build relationships with internal and external customers.
• Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and computer skills.
• Capability to make sound decisions independently through creative problem‑solving.
• Capacity to work with ambiguity and change.

• Starting salary range: $96,000 – $120,000.
• Paid vacation:
  Three weeks per calendar year, prorated during the first year based on start date.
• Paid holidays.
