Supplier Development Engineer

Job Responsibilities

* Evaluate new and existing suppliers in coordination with Commodity Managers.

* Monitor supplier performance and take action with suppliers failing to meet minimum requirements.

* Conduct supplier readiness activities associated with New Product Launches to ensure sourced suppliers are fully prepared for launch.

* Resolve any supplier issues escalated to Supplier Development from the MEC Manufacturing Plants.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Skills Requirements

* Strong communications skills (verbal and written).

* Strong Conflict management skills.

* Strong knowledge of AIAG Core Quality Tools (APQP, FMEA, Process Flow, Corrective Action, Control Plans, etc.).

* Experience conducting audits of suppliers.

* Leadership skills to conduct meetings with co-workers and suppliers.

* Strong negotiation skills.

Educational Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience required.

Experience Requirements

* Three years of supply chain experience required.

* Prior experience in the manufacturing industry preferred.
