Engineering Intern

Position SummaryThe Engineering Intern will support the engineering team with project work, process improvements, and day-to-day operational support. This role provides hands-on exposure to manufacturing and engineering environments while developing practical skills in problem-solving, data analysis, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Assist engineers with projects related to process improvement, equipment optimization, and documentation
- Collect and analyze data to support engineering initiatives and operational decisions
- Support troubleshooting efforts for equipment, processes, or quality issues
- Update and maintain engineering documentation, work instructions, and SOPs
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Quality, and Maintenance
- Perform other duties as assigned to support site and team objectives
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Chemical, or related field)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work effectively in a team and take direction from multiple stakeholders
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Prior internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement concepts
- Experience with data analysis or technical documentation
- Hands-on engineering experience in a real-world manufacturing environment
- Exposure to cross-functional teams and operational decision-making
- Mentorship from experienced engineers and leaders
